Kentucky star player terminate is contract reveals reason

Even though the NCAA basketball season won’t begin for another four months, it’s never too early to release the top 25 rankings.

Kentucky is ranked No. 23 in ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 Rankings, which were just revealed. Of the nine SEC clubs that are listed in the rankings, the one is ranked ninth. That should give you some idea of how difficult the SEC will be this coming season.

Mark Pope, who stretches defenses in the Big 12 at BYU, is expected to bring his 3-point shooting to Lexington as the Wildcats prepare for their debut season under his leadership.

Kentucky’s roster is highlighted by seven transfers, including Jaxson Robinson, a BYU transfer. Koby Brea (Dayton), Lamont Butler (San Diego State), Amari Williams (Drexel), Andrew Carr (Wake Forest), Otega Oweh (Oklahoma), and Kerr Kriisa (West Virginia) join Robinson.

Texas, one of the two SEC newcomers this year, is ranked No. 22 in ESPN’s rankings, one spot ahead of Kentucky. The rankings also feature Florida (21), Ole Miss (20), Arkansas (14), Tennessee (13), Texas A&M (12), Auburn (11) and Alabama (2). Thanks in large part to Hunter Dickinson’s return this season, Kansas leads the Rankings.

At Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Tuesday, November 12, Kentucky will play its first scheduled matchup versus Duke.
